NOTE
local food growers, producers, advocates and supporters of local food and farming will gather at CCRI - Newport campus auditorium for the first annual Food & Farming Community Forum, sponsored by A Market and Keenwah Eatery.
The Forum will focus on the importance of an abundant local food harvest to the economic well-being and health of Aquidneck Island and to the state as a whole. "This is an opportunity for our community to come together to discuss the most vital issues around local food, and how supporting local food helps our economy," says Kyle Hence, forum organizer, "and we are honored to have a great group of panelists joining us."

Participating panelists include Ken Ayars, Chief of Agriculture at the Rhode Island DEM, Ted Clement, head of the Aquidneck Land Trust
